Behind the scenes, each submitted film will be judged by a growing army of people called Becca. During the festival itself, we well have a specially curated three Becca Panel to render final judgment for award purposes. Are you a Becca or do you know a Becca? All gatekeeping is ridiculous, we just wanted to make it obvious.

We believe that having a group of people named Becca judge a film festival is just as valid a metric as anything else employed by film festivals. You don't need some big faceless festival telling you they're prestigious. No, you need multiple people, some of whom have lied about their name, telling your that the Try Becca Film Festival is just as prestigious and high brow. It's an unserious festival, sure, but we want everyone showing up in their finest clothes and we'll have red carpet photography and wine and standing ovations and someone will make an overly long speech about how important out work is and we're the true pioneers of whatever the cause of the week is.
